Unlimited immigration in the last 15 years has depressed wages
Truthfullness 0 / 5
Fact checked by: fullfact
Notes
Wages have stagnated since 2008. There are lots of things that affect wages. The evidence suggests that immigration hasn’t had a big effect.
Full fact says that lower wage earners are more likely to be effected than medium or higher earners. And “The group most affected are resident workers who are themselves immigrants, because they are the people most likely to be doing the kind of work that new arrivals might compete for.”
Do you agree this deserves 0 / 5 for truthfullness?
