Four million children living in poverty, it’s rising despite what the Prime Minister said falsely this morning
Truthfullness 5 / 5
Fact checked by: fullfact
Notes
Yep, there’s about 4.6 million.
Boris Johnson said that there were 400,000 fewer children in poverty than in 2010. Nicola Sturgeon is right to say this is incorrect. The number has stayed about the same or even increased slightly, unless he was talking about absolute poverty, in which case it has declined by about 100,000.
Do you agree this deserves 5 / 5 for truthfullness?
